Key Features

Photorealistic Gaussian Splatting

Terra introduces 3D Gaussian Splatting, which quickly generates detailed and realistic 3D models from photos, accurately restoring diverse scenes including cultural relics, architectural projects, urban blocks, and scenic gardens. Compared to visible-light oblique photogrammetry, Gaussian Splatting significantly enhances the representation of complex elements such as fine structures, transparent and reflective objects, and vegetation, while producing more natural rendering effects.

Twice as Efficient for Large-Scale Scenes: Terra processes approximately 500 photos per hour, completing single-block modeling in just 30–40 minutes. For large scenes with over 10,000 photos, reconstruction speed is twice that of traditional Terra Mesh, with support for up to 30,000 photos in a single task.

Low Hardware Requirements: Requires only 4 GB of GPU memory and 32 GB of RAM. Terra supports one-click export to PLY and B3DM (3D Tiles) formats for seamless integration across surveying, gaming, and film production platforms.

Photogrammetry — Trusted Precision

Terra rapidly generates high-precision 3D models, point clouds, true digital orthophoto maps (TDOM), and digital surface models (DSM) from photos, with adjustable mesh count and map resolution. It supports export to various industry-standard formats for seamless downstream integration.

High-Accuracy 1:500 Mapping: Achieves centimeter-level mapping accuracy without ground control points by deeply integrating DJI RTK drone data with intelligent algorithms. Dedicated accuracy enhancements for Matrice 4E consistently meet 1:500 mapping standards even in complex environments.

Fast, On-Site Results: For smaller projects, results can be generated on-site in real time. Standalone workstations process up to 30,000 photos within three days; cluster reconstruction delivers results in just 21 hours. For 2D reconstruction, 5,000 photos are processed in under two hours on a standalone workstation.

LiDAR Reconstruction — Broad Applications

Terra enables deep integration of LiDAR and visible light data. A single Zenmuse LiDAR acquisition simultaneously generates high-precision point clouds, 2D maps, and 3D mesh models. This data fusion approach significantly enhances model completeness in complex structural environments such as bridges and substations.

Centimeter-Level Accuracy: Leveraging RTK and PPK positioning technologies, Terra processes Zenmuse LiDAR point cloud data to achieve survey-grade, centimeter-level accuracy without ground control points.

Large-Scale Reconstruction: A computer with 32 GB of RAM can process up to 120 GB of LiDAR data (approximately 10 km²); workstations with 128 GB support city-scale processing.

Multispectral Reconstruction for Agriculture

Leverage multispectral data from DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral and Phantom 4 Multispectral to generate vegetation index maps (NDVI, NDRE) for actionable insights into plant growth and health. Terra supports radiometric correction and reflectance map creation for remote sensing research.

Prescription Maps: Create accurate prescription maps from multispectral or visible light data. Select your crop type (Field or Fruit Tree) to quickly generate 2D maps and optimized route plans for DJI Agras drones. Variable-rate spraying prescription maps improve yields while reducing costs.

Cluster Reconstruction — Superior Efficiency

Designed for ultra-large-scale mapping scenarios such as smart cities, Terra’s cluster reconstruction technology overcomes single-machine limitations through multi-GPU and multi-node collaboration. It processes 6,000 photos per 1 GB of available RAM, making city-scale 3D modeling easily manageable.

Lightning-Fast Performance: With just five worker devices, Terra completes high-resolution 3D reconstruction of 30,000 photos in only 21 hours. Users can flexibly scale the number of worker devices as projects grow, achieving exponential gains in efficiency.

Integrated Aerial Survey — Hardware & Software Synergy

Terra is deeply compatible with DJI Enterprise drones and supporting equipment. When used with Matrice 4E, Matrice 400, Zenmuse P1, Zenmuse L3, and D-RTK 3, Terra delivers cost-effective visible light and professional-grade LiDAR mapping solutions for a wide range of aerial survey applications.

Seamless DJI Modify Integration: With one-click activation, Terra enables direct handoff to DJI Modify for instant generation of model processing files and post-editing — creating a comprehensive workflow from aerial surveying and modeling to model editing and sharing.

DJI Reality Integration: Terra now integrates DJI Reality for model visualization and delivery. DJI Reality supports Mesh, 3D Gaussian Splatting, and point cloud models, with no additional licensing cost — providing a highly cost-effective end-to-end workflow.

More Highlights

PPK Calculation

DJI Terra features robust built-in PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) capabilities, ensuring high-precision aerial survey results in any environment. The platform supports local PPK for visible light imagery and local PPK for LiDAR — guaranteeing centimeter-level positioning accuracy even in areas with limited network connectivity or where RTK is unavailable.

Annotation & Measurement

Terra provides intuitive annotation and measurement tools supporting accurate measurement of points, lines, areas, and volumes. By clicking any part of the 3D model, users can quickly view the corresponding camera position and original images, enabling smooth switching between the model and site images for efficient inspection and site verification. Multiple export formats are supported.

Application Scenarios

Surveying & Mapping, Public Safety, Electricity & Power Line Inspection, Oil & Natural Gas, Roads & Bridges, Water Conservancy, Precision Agriculture, Forestry, Mining Survey, Emergency Survey & Disaster Response, Gaming, Film & Television.
