This Privacy Policy explains how Gulf Net Emirates Company – LLC (“GulfNet Emirates”, “GulfNet”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you visit, request a quotation from, or make a purchase through our online store at gulfnetemirates.shop (the “Store”).
We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”). By using the Store, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
The Store is operated by Gulf Net Emirates Company – LLC, a company licensed in the United Arab Emirates under Licence No. CN-1027743, with its office at Al Fattan Plaza, 6th Floor, Office 607, Dubai, UAE. For any privacy-related matter, we are the controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at hello@gulfnetemirates.shop or +971 4 897 2598.
2. The information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Information you give us. Your name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number; company name, trade licence and Tax Registration Number (TRN) where you purchase as a business; account login details; the contents of quotation requests, orders and your order history; and any information contained in your communications with our team.
Payment information. Card payments are processed by our third-party payment provider through a secure connection. We do not collect or store complete payment card numbers on our own systems. For bank transfers, we receive the remittance details needed to reconcile your payment.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Store we collect technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you view, and the site that referred you, using cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
3. How we use your information
We use your personal data to: process, fulfil and deliver your orders; prepare quotations and bundle pricing; create and manage your account; provide customer support and handle returns, warranty and after-sales service; verify your identity and prevent fraud; communicate with you about your orders and enquiries; meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations; and, where you have given consent, send you marketing communications. We also use aggregated technical data to maintain, secure and improve the Store.
4. Our legal basis for processing
We process personal data where it is necessary to perform a contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, for our legitimate business interests (such as preventing fraud and improving our services), or on the basis of your consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The Store uses cookies and similar technologies that fall into the following categories: essential cookies required for the Store to function, including the cart and checkout; functional cookies that remember your preferences such as language; analytics cookies that help us understand how the Store is used; and marketing cookies that may be used to measure campaigns. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Store from working.
6. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who act on our behalf, including hosting and IT providers, payment gateways, couriers and logistics partners, and analytics and marketing providers.
- Manufacturers and principals, such as DJI, where this is necessary to process a warranty claim or arrange a repair.
- Government and regulatory authorities, where we are required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.
- Professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers, and any party in connection with a restructuring, merger or sale of our business.
We require all service providers to protect your personal data and to use it only for the purposes for which we engaged them.
7. International transfers
Because the Store ships internationally and some of our service providers operate outside the United Arab Emirates, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in other countries. Where we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with the PDPL.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to fulfil your orders, provide after-sales and warranty support, and meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations. Records relating to transactions are generally retained for the period required by UAE law. When personal data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your information
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted (SSL) connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and while we work to protect your data we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the PDPL, you have the right to: request access to the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; ask us to restrict or stop processing; object to certain processing; request the transfer of your data; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@gulfnetemirates.shop. We will respond within the period required by law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent UAE data protection authority.
11. Marketing communications
We send marketing communications only where you have consented to receive them. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not affect service messages relating to your orders, quotations or account.
12. Children’s privacy
The Store is intended for customers aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. Third-party links
The Store may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
